Goodman started his career in business brokerage in 2003.
Since that time he has sold many businesses
of various types and sizes, from manufacturing to restaurants to
retail stores, from service businesses to distribution
companies. His typical transaction involves small businesses ranging in size from very small to over $15,000,000 in
revenue. Peter is a Certified Business Intermediary through
the International Business Brokers association (IBBA) and regularly
participates in educational classes for business brokerage. He
is also a licensed real estate broker so he can handle the sale
of your real estate along with your business.
As a CBI Peter is formally trained in all aspects of the business brokerage process. Only 5% of business brokers have such a Certification.
He also serves as Vice President of the New England Business Brokers Association, a local non-profit organization that promotes education, cooperation and a high standard of ethics among the region’s professional business brokers.
Peter works with almost every type of business, such as retail, service, distribution and manufacturing companies. To begin the sales process
a valuation analysis of the business is produced, which shows the
real profitability of the company. The net income line on your company's tax return is for tax purposes only and does not reflect the true earnings power of your business. By analyzing your business and financial statements
the 'true' profitability of your business can be found.
